Were you a fan of “The Brady Bunch” growing up?

Yes…I think so many of us who grew up in the 70’s were big fans. The Bradys felt like family.

If not, when you got the part did you go back and watch episodes to prepare?

I didn’t go back and watch past episodes. I knew the tone of the show and since we were portraying the Brady family as grown ups..it was exciting to see how to create the characters in the present day.

Did you feel intimidated or pressure when you joined the show, knowing what an iconic family it was?

I didn’t feel intimidated... but I did LOVE having the opportunity to work with this cast and be a part of this show that had such a rich history! It was a tiny bit surreal to walk on to the Brady set and see that house and that stairway! And then to meet actors that I had watched for years. AND…I was now married to Greg Brady! How fun was that?

How was your experience filming and interacting with the cast on all the different projects you were associated with? Any special moments behind the scenes that you can recall?

We had so much fun filming A VERY BRADY CHRISTMAS & THE BRADYS! We laughed a great deal and there was a lot of comaraderie..especially with those of us that had “married” into the Brady family. We joked that we should have a spinoff called “The Brady Spouses”. Martha Quinn and I were the newest members of the “family” (Jerry Houser and Ron Kuhlman had already married into it in “The Brady Brides”), and she and I became fast friends! I saw Jerry not too long ago and it was as if no time had past. We are all bonded for life! :)

Looking back on the last 30 years since you have been a part of the extended Brady family, what impact has it had on your career being a part of the Brady history?

I’m not exactly sure what impact it had on my career to be honest…but I can tell you that it was one of the great experiences of my career and it’s been the show that keeps on giving! The Brady fans are so passionate and the show continues to bring smiles and joy to so many…including me! Working on that show was very special...

Your thoughts on why the world has such a love of “The Brady Bunch”.

How could you not love the show? Back in the day it was this lovely warm show about a family we could all identify with in some ways. Now..it’s iconic and nostalgic and without sounding too old or corny…it brings us back to a time when life was so much more simple and pure. People fell in love with the characters…and I think that’s what lives on.

Your thoughts on the latest Brady project: HGTV’s “Very Brady Renovation” . Have you been approached to be a part of the project in any way?

Brilliant! What a fun and fabulous idea! I think it’s going to make a lot of Brady fans very happy…that wonderful Brady house back and on our screens once again! I’m actually filming a fun little thing this weekend that will be included in the show. Stay tuned!

Was it strange working with Christopher Knight in Dinner at 5, given he has been your “brother-in-law” for so many years?

Chris and I have been friends for many years. We worked at the same NBC studio in New York back in the 80’s when we were both doing soap operas (that’s a LONG time ago) and continue to see each other socially to this day. We laughed when we realized we were going to be doing a play where we “switch partners” and entertain the idea of having an affair. He’s my Brady brother-in-law after all! I love working with him and we have a great connection on stage.

Lastly, what are you currently doing professionally?

I work a great deal in the hosting arena and have been doing some wonderfully fun Voiceover projects. (I’m the voice of “Varia” who leads you through the new Hunger Games Exhibition at the MGM Grand in Vegas). Last year I had the good fortune to have a recurring role on the Emmy winning “The Assassination of Gianni Versace”. I’m involved in a film project that I’m very excited about but unfortunately am not able to talk about just yet. All in all…I am keeping busy and am always grateful for the opportunity to work in a business that I love.
