A familiar presence on television, most recently appearing in the miniseries “The Beach Boys,” Suanne Spoke received the 1997 Theatre L.A. Ovation Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress for her work in “David’s Mother” (which she co-produced) as well as several Dramalogue Awards.

Spoke has frequently appeared on stage and has been a member of the Los Angeles theater troupe Company of Angels for more than 20 years. While there, she has performed in dozens of productions, including “The Balcony Scene,” “Nebraska” and “Midnight Caller.”

Her company, No Problem Productions, produced the West Coast premiere of “Life in the Trees,” in which Spoke’s performance was nominated for a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award.

Spoke’s numerous television credits include guest-starring roles on “The X-Files,” “3rd Rock from the Sun,” “Profiler,” “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Seinfeld.” In addition, she recurred on “Oh Baby,” “Clueless,” “Unhappily Ever After” and “Step By Step.”

She can also be seen in the upcoming feature film “More Dog Than Bone” with Whoopi Goldberg.

Never too far from the theater, Spoke works as a private acting coach in her spare time.
